Leading Psychologist Arthur Janov Suggests Heart Disease, Depression, Anxiety, Asthma, and Addiction Begin in the Womb

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 20, 2011

Dr. Arthur Janov’s new release “Life Before Birth: The Hidden Script that Rules Our Lives” (NTI Upstream, Dec. 1, 2011) represents the beginning of a unified field theory of psychotherapy. In it, he traces the origins of heart disease, substance addiction, depression, anxiety, and cancer to events in the womb and at birth. Dr. Janov suggests that a carrying mothers use of drugs, her stress level, and physical and mental traumas during pregnancy, labor, and delivery have a profound effect on the health of an individual.

The origins of heart disease, depression, anxiety, substance addiction and even cancer, can be linked to early trauma during pregnancy and birth. says Arthur Janov, PhD, founder of primal therapy and author of the new book, “Life Before Birth: The Hidden Script That Rules Our Lives.”

Author of the bestselling book, “The Primal Scream,” Dr. Janov has worked with thousands of people, including the late musician and songwriter John Lennon, at The Primal Center in Santa Monica, CA. His research has shown patients can dramatically reduce such medical problems as depression, anxiety, sleeplessness, alcoholism, drug addiction and heart disease by returning to the neurological origin of early trauma. At his clinic, every patient, every day, has his or her vital signs (heart rate, body temperature, blood pressure) measured before and after sessions, and Dr. Janov and his team have found dramatic changes in patients after just one year of therapy.

Recent advances in neuroscience, immunology, and epigenetics reveal that during pregnancy methyl and other chemical groups can attach to DNA and affect how our genes are expressed, whether they are turned “on” or “off.” According to Dr. Janov, that fetal imprint is influenced by factors such as the carrying mother’s cortisol level and intrauterine oxygen supply and may leave a lasting mark, resulting in lowered resistance to disease, memory problems, and mental illness.

The Worlds Fastest Pain Relief Can Be a Fingertip Tap Away

San Francisco, Calif. (PRWEB) September 13, 2006

An estimated 47.5 million Americans suffer from chronic joint pain and millions more lead restricted lives because of fibromyalgia, bursitis, gout, injuries, back pain, and stiff necks. No wonder pain-relief drugs are top sellers.

Unfortunately, drugs dont always help, and their side effects can be serious. But a simple do-it-yourself acupressure technique called EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is succeeding where other therapies fail. It combines gentle fingertip tapping on key acupressure points with focused thought and is described in a free manual that can be downloaded from

http://www.emofree.com/downloadeftmanual.asp?ref=prwpainreliefcj.

EFT has reduced or eliminated pain in hospital patients, accident victims, people with osteoarthritis and other inflammatory diseases, patients who suffer from migraine headaches, and people who hurt all over.

This is excellent news for those with osteoarthritis because pain-relieving COX-2 inhibitors like Vioxx, once among the most popular medications in U.S. history, were recently pulled from the market because their side effects included heart attacks and strokes.

Even at their best, says Los Angeles physician Eric Robins, MD, conventional treatments fail to address the true causes of pain. Thats why they cant cure pain or make it stay away.

Dr. Robins, a urologist, routinely teaches EFT to patients whose symptoms do not respond to conventional treatment. No matter what the diagnosis, he explains, whether its pain from a chronic bladder infection or from something entirely different, I assume that its true cause is emotional pain or trauma thats stored in the body. In most cases, patients respond quickly to the application of EFT. Their pain goes away and so do the conditions that werent improving.

In Holland, physician Franklin Sluijters has found acupressure tapping to be so helpful that he has given up a 30-year medical practice to work exclusively with EFT. As a family doctor, he explains, I had ample opportunity to try it on everything. Ive had exceptionally good results when treating patients for pain by teaching them to tap on their EFT points.

Belgian physician Tania de Winne reports similar results. Neck and shoulder pain, stiff neck (torticollis), and tension headaches tend to resolve within three quick rounds of tapping, she says. Acute pain and swelling from a contusion, sprain, dental surgery, minor surgery, or from fractures are also excellent candidates for EFT. Some persistence is required, meaning that you might have to tap for five or ten minutes before the pain and swelling go down, but thats still faster than other treatments. For all types of injury, the overall healing time is greatly reduced.”

EFT is a new procedure, but already over 300,000 including thousands of health care practitioners have downloaded its free manual from http://www.emofree.com/downloadeftmanual.asp?ref=prwpainreliefcj ,

and an additional 10,000 download it every month. The manual is available in nine languages, and EFT practitioners around the world, especially in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan, and Australia, teach EFT classes and work with clients.

West Virginia Veterans’ Benefits Attorney Says Female Veterans Need More Help to Cope with Service-Related PTSD

Parkersburg, WV (PRWEB) February 15, 2011

A West Virginia Veterans benefits attorney said this week that she hopes a recent VA study will lead to improved access to services and benefits for women Veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The study, issued last month by the Veterans Administrations inspector general, found that female Veterans may be unaware that Women Veterans Coordinators are available at regional offices to help them with matters such as filing disability claims for PTSD, traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other mental health conditions.

The study also concluded that female Veterans are denied PTSD-related disability claims at a higher rate than their male counterparts, said the Veterans benefits attorney, Jan Dils.

There may be countless women Veterans suffering from PTSD who dont know how to get the help and benefits they need to cope with this debilitating condition, said Dils, founder of Jan Dils, Attorneys at Law, L.C., a Veterans disability benefits law firm with offices in West Virginia and North Carolina.

I hope this study prompts the VA to put more attention and effort on addressing the mental health needs of these female Veterans, who have sacrificed so much in service to their country, Dils said.

PTSD is an anxiety disorder that is triggered by exposure to a life-threatening or traumatic event, such as a life-threatening combat experience or a physical or sexual assault. It ranks among the most common service-connected disabilities suffered by Veterans, especially those who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, VA statistics indicate.

According to the recent VA study, significantly more women Veterans file PTSD claims related to military sexual trauma (MST) than men do.

However, the study suggested that better training may be needed for claims processors and Women Veterans Coordinators to help them deal with female Veterans who may be distressed or emotional during discussions about MST-related disability claims.

Additionally, the study said that steps need to be taken to make reference materials concerning PTSD and MST-related mental health conditions more accessible to women Veterans.

In many cases, a female Veteran may have been denied a disability benefits claim for PTSD because of a breakdown that occurred in the application process, Dils said. It may be helpful to contact an experienced Veterans benefits attorney to review your case and see what may have gone wrong.
